An ode to retail after christmas -

An ode to retail after christmas

Now that Christmas has come and gone
Let’s all cheer and sing a song
My body still aches and my legs feel stiff
But I no longer want to jump off that cliff

Every shit gift will now be returned
Buyers should be sacked, no lessons learned
The thought of no queues does make me glow
But for christs sake please, don’t let it snow

Retail is detail my boss keeps on saying
You’ve got no staff so you’d better start praying
I want the store bright, shiny and clean
Now set up your new home in the canteen

358 days until our next Christmas day
I love retail life so much, perhaps I should stay
Is there a job out there worse than this?
Retail is Devine, Retail is bliss.
